VEGA - Host Data Mining
VEGA it is a product for the integration between the various information environments that coexist within the Institute.
The goal of VEGA is that to operate on heterogeneous data, dislocated on information bases of different subsystems, in order to say on heterogeneous data create a global view of data, establish the necessary links and rework or merge certain information by producing new tailor-made database structures.
The fundamental characteristic of VEGA is that of being able tosupport any sequential database and, if properly configured, to relate these databases to each other, regardless of the nature of the information contained therein.
By making a simple request to the terminal, VEGA is able to produce the desired response and display its contents.
The system provides the user with the possibility to select the desired data using extraction criteria (filters) to be customized with the data entered at the time of request.
VEGA can be used both in the statistical field and in the organizational field for:
- queries on heterogeneous data;
- production of statistical reports;
- quadrature and normalization;
- migration of information systems;
- consultation of historicized data.
The functionalities foreseen inside VEGA can be framed in the phases of:
- layout by the systemist user "configurator" of VEGA;
- utilization from the management user.
VEGA is intended for the organizational user to perform statistical surveys on the performance of its customers or produce statistical reports for their governing bodies.
